(Ecns.cn)--A college student in Jiangsu earns 70,000-80,000 yuan a month by running a tea shop, according to a report Thursday in the Yangtse Evening Post.

Miss Zang, the boss of the tea shop, attends the Jiangsu Institute of Economic & Trade Technologies, where about 80% of students reportedly have strong entrepreneurial attitudes.

A junior majoring in accounting, Zang tried the idea a year ago while she was still a sophomore. By selling tea at a street stall she surprisingly made a 100% profit on the first day.

The trial run encouraged her to start her own business instead of working for others.

During the initial stage Zang's shop had few visitors due to the quality of the goods, which encouraged her to study and become a tea expert.

"Now the tea in my shop is affordable, but of very high quality,Zang said.

Zang opened another shop recently, which sometimes brings in tens of thousands a month.

"In our school, students are quite enthusiastic about starting their own businesses," said Song Yicheng, president of the student union at the institute.

The school plays an important role in training students, creating opportunities and providing related facilities and services, such as a 21,000-square-meter business incubator, according to the report.
