(Ecns.cn)--Ji Shuangshuang, mother of a two-month-old in Liaocheng, Shandong Province, is planning to sell her 1.6-meter long hair for 10,000 yuan ($1,565), with great reluctance though.
According to a neighbor, most of Ji's lustrous locks were measured at more than 1.6 meters, while the longest was 1.73 meters.
Ji said she began to let her hair grow about eight years ago, but has to cut it short now to better care for her baby. She priced it at 3,000 yuan ($469) in the very beginning, but later increased it to 10,000 yuan.
However, the manager of a local wig shop said that the purchasing price for 1.2-meter long hair is only 600 yuan ($94). Another shop owner estimated that Ji's hair is worth 2,000 yuan ($313) at most.
Charming as it is, such long hair can be troublesome sometimes. According to Ji, it usually takes her 30 minutes to comb her hair, one to two hours to wash it, and half a day to air dry it.
