(Ecns.cn)--A naughty elephant turned a local highway upside down last Friday in the Dai Autonomous Prefecture of Xishuangbanna in southern Yunnan Province, with two motorcycles down, one truck damaged, and one police car chased.
According to Yunnan.com, the male elephant strolled its way to the nearest highway outside the forest reserve. Obviously angry about something, the creature scared two men enough to abandon their motorcycles, and then tore apart the machines. Venting its anger, the wild animal smashed one of the motorcycles before it "got bored and marched ahead" along the highway.
By the time local police hurried to the site, the troublemaker had paralyzed the whole road's traffic making dozens of cars stuck on the highway. A truck was almost knocked over by the furious elephant.
It turned out the same animal had "committed similar crimes" earlier last month because of its failed relationship with its "girlfriend." The local police attempted to light firecrackers to drive it away, yet it got even angrier and turned back to chase the police car.
Luckily, no one got hurt by the unexpected visitor on the highway. At about 2:30 pm, the disappointed elephant joined its team back on the reserve.
