A former fire fighter who imprisoned six women as sex slaves in a self-dug cellar was arrested recently in Luoyang city, Central China's Henan province, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported Thursday.
Over the past two years, the man named Li Hao, 34, who is married and has a child, enticed and kidnapped six young women working in night clubs into a 20 sq m cellar that he had dug four meters under a storeroom. The victims were forced to have sex with Li during their imprisonment and two of them were killed and buried in the cellar.
The imprisoned victims were finally freed in early September after one of them escaped and went to the police when she was taken out as a prostitute to earn money for Li. However, one of the four victims was also arrested due to her involvement in murdering one of the imprisoned women.
Li was arrested 48 hours later when he was trying to escape the city. The police also unearthed two bodies in the cellar on Sept 6, according to the surviving victims' report.
