(Ecns.cn)--"I'm from Qingdao, male, 23, type O blood, healthy, and am selling a kidney in order to make a living," said Mr. Liu in a post online on September 20.
Liu said he wants to sell it for 100,000 yuan and no bargaining.
"I want to start a business," Liu told reporters from the Peninsula Metropolis Daily, adding that without any seed capital, he had no choice but to sell one of his kidneys.
"I have no source of income right now, and my present lease will expire soon. I was forced to make such a decision," explained Liu.
Liu said he is a local of Qingdao, Shandong Province and has been separated from his parents for seven years. "They beat me a lot when I was little. I ran away from home later."
"I don't miss my parents at all," added Liu, who now has no idea where his parents are living.
According to Sun Dongqing, an attorney, Liu's actions are against the law. "Liu should be punished. But the punishment should be light since he has not actually sold it yet."
"I know it is illegal to sell a kidney and I will be punished, but I have really been driven into a corner," noted Liu.
