(Ecns.cn)--Senior college student Zhao Jiaxu, an Education Psychology major, enjoyed a sense of accomplishment after receiving three orders in a short period of two weeks since he put his ears for rent online "to listen to clients' untold, unspeakable stories."
According to a report in the Xinwenhua Newspaper on Monday, Zhao came up with the idea due to his experience this summer when he worked at a local café and voluntarily served as a psychological counselor to his coworkers.
With his Rorschach inkblot cards, Zhao successfully broke the psychological defense of one of his colleagues during a 2-hour counseling session and moved the latter into tears with his professional accuracy on the analysis. "I can use some help too," said one of the customers in the café, which inspired Zhao to "rent out his ears."
As a quiet person, Zhao is confident about himself being a qualified psychologist. "I enjoy listening more than talking and I pay attention to what I hear," the student said. "Earlier this year, in February when I visited Taiwan, I became fascinated by those inkblot cards used by shrinks," Zhao mentioned, and ended up bringing 50 kilograms of the cards back with him, which he now uses to analyze his online clients.
Zhao even found himself a way to relax through doing handiwork. Many of his handicrafts are quite popular among the customers in the café where he has a part time job.
