(Ecns.cn) – A man surnamed Lin discovered a buzzing "bee ball" in his broom closet on Monday in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. As his wife ran way, Lin instead began taking off his clothes.

He later explained that he was hoping try out a bee venom therapy he had heard of many times in the past.

When his wife returned she was shocked by the scene and sprayed insecticide to drive the bees out. Lin was disappointed, however, because not a single bee had stung him yet. He said some bees had even flown into his mouth.

Experts said the swarm of bees might have been looking for a new settlement and happened to choose the broom closet as the ideal place.

About Mr. Lin's behavior, they warned that though bee venom therapy works for many people, it must be done after sensitivity tests. About 3% of people stung by bees and wasps will have allergic reactions, and up to 0.8% of bee sting victims will experience severe and life-threatening reactions.
