(Ecns.cn)--Wuhan, the capital city of central China's Hubei Province, plans to build the world's largest river-spanning Ferris wheel over the Han, a branch of the Yangtze River flowing through the city, according to the Wuhan Evening News on Wednesday.
To be called the "Eye of the Han River," the wheel is one part of a plan that will include 10 scenic attractions along the Han in the coming years, according to the city planning bureau.
"By the time the Ferris wheel is finished, citizens can use it to get a bird's-eye view of the scenery along the river and the city, which will be glamorous," said an official from the bureau.
Currently the names of the other nine projects have not been determined and detailed plans are still under discussion, according to the bureau.
