China's swimming rising star Ning Zetao claimed his second gold at the National Swimming Championships on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old, who won the men's 100m free on Monday, grabbed the 50m free title in 22.17 seconds, ahead of Guangdong swimmer Yu Hexin, 22.47, and Shanghai swimmer Shi Yang, 22.74.
"My start is a little slow," said the Asian champion. "I'm tired after taking part in so many events here."
The women's 50m fly was dominated by Shanghai swimmer Lu Ying, runner-up of the 100m fly at the 2012 London Games. She finished first in a world ninth time of 26.09. Hebei's Zhou Yilin, winner of the 200m fly, came second in 26.58, ahead of Bayi's Liu Lan, 26.62.
In the women's 200m back, semifinal leader Fu Yuanhui lost to Hubei swimmer Chen Jie, who touched in 2:09.64, ahead of Liu Yaxin, Zhejiang, 2:09.78, and Ye Shiwen, Zhejiang, 2:09.89. Fu, who injured her right foot on Tuesday, ranked fourth in 2:10.36. Her season best was 2:08.84, which ranked seventh in the world.
Zhejiang's 16-year-old Li Zhuhao won the men's 100m fly in 52.20. Shandong's Zhang Qibin trailed in 52.91, while Shanghai's Hu Yiyong placed third in 53.06.
Li's winning time was slower than his season best, 51.82, sixth on the global ranks.
Also on Wednesday, Zhang Yuhan of Bayi won the women's 800m freestyle in 8:31.93, while team Jiangsu grabbed the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay in 3:29.63.
