Beijing Ducks, three-time champion of Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league, announced on Thursday it moves its home court from Shougang Basketball Center to Mastercard Center.

Mastercard Center is regarded as a blessing place for the Beijing team, who clinched three CBA titles in the past four years. Since the Finals in 2011-2012, when Beijing crushed over powerful Guangdong 4-1 in Mastercard Center, the capital team put all its playoffs home games in this 18,000-capacity venue.

"I'm excited about the future here. I think it shows the direction that CBA heads to," said Stephon Marbury, a former NBA All-star.

"I spoke about this happening when I played the All-star game here during my first year in China. Passion was showed in the All-star game, it was amazing," added last season's CBA Finals MVP.

After the move, another 10,000-plus fans can enjoy basketball feast on site, which is a great feedback for their support by the club.

"Not only do we players feel happy about it, since we can enjoy such a wonderful atmosphere here, but it gives something back to fans' support," said Beijing's post player Ji Zhe.

What's the goal for a fresh season in Mastercard Center?

"Third straight title!" Ji shouted.

According to Yuan Chao, deputy general manager of the Beijing club, an agreement has been reached for the move, while more details, such as the period for team's stay in Mastercard Center, needs more communication.
