Peru and Uruguay are showcasing their products at the SIAL China 2015 Expo, which kicked off Wednesday in China's Shanghai.
Four Peruvian firms are featuring mostly organic products at Asia's largest food and beverage exposition, while Uruguay is featuring its meat products.
Uruguay's National Meats Institute has staked out 250 square meters of expo space to feature its products, including a display of the country's seven different ecosystems and the types of meat that flourish best in each.
More than 2,000 exhibitors from 79 countries are taking part in the expo, which runs through Friday and draws buyers from one of the world's largest consumer markets.
The expo is divided into different types of products, including fresh meats, game and bred poultry, fresh and dried fruits and vegetables, sweets, conserves, frozen desserts and dietetic products, among others.
