This year marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Italy, so, at the ongoing World Expo in Milan, the Chinese elements are being especially highlighted by a string of collaborative events launched by the two countries.
About 1,000 Chinese individuals were recently invited to tour the World Expo, and they were the largest group of guests to attend from one single country.
The event dubbed, "Culture Bridge between China and Italy", was co-founded by the Italian Embassy to China and sponsored by various Italian enterprises.
Among the invited guests are designers, architects and fashion aficianados, and it's seen as a move that strengthens cultural dialogue between the two nations.
Besides the expo, the Chinese guests will also pay visits to the headquarters of several fashion brands based in the host city, an industry that makes Milan one of the most important fashion centres of Europe and the world.
