China's senior security official Meng Jianzhu on Monday called for enhanced law enforcement and security cooperation with Mongolia.
Meng addressed the issue during a meeting with Tsagaandari Enkhtuvshin, secretary-general of Mongolia's National Security Council, in Beijing.
Meng said law enforcement and security cooperation are important to China-Mongolia relationship.
The current international and regional security is changing in a complicated way, he said, adding China is ready to work with Mongolia to crack down on the "three evil forces": terrorism, separatism and extremism.
Meng also urged the two sides to jointly fight transborder crimes, to safeguard trade and personnel exchanges between the two countries.
Enkhtuvshin said Mongolia is willing to work with China to push forward with law-enforcement cooperation.
State Councilor and Public Security Minister Guo Shengkun also attended the meeting.
