Fijian Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola said on Monday that Fiji welcomes Chinese businessmen to invest in real estate, health care and tourism projects in the country.
Kubuabola offered his support to such projects while meeting with a group of investors from Shenzhen, China. The eight-member delegation came from the Bonus Sky Investment Group.
According to a statement from the Department of Information, the Chinese investors are interested in high-end real estate business, health care and tourism projects in Fiji.
They hope to open a centre in the island country that will combine the specialised health care with leisure and tourism.
Tourism, a main money earner for Fiji, provides employment directly and indirectly to an estimated 45,000 people in the country.
