China's airlines announced they will resume flights to Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, as the airport there had reopened after a 7.5-magnitude earthquake on Tuesday.[Special coverage]
The airlines included Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines.
There were altogether 12 flights from China's Guangzhou, Chengdu, Lhasa, Kunming and Hong Kong to Kathmandu on Tuesday.
A total of 37 people have been confirmed dead in the powerful quake, Nepal's Home Ministry said in its latest update.
