"Treasures of Tibet - An Exhibition of Tibetan Gardening Art" opened on May 16 at The Museum of Chinese Garden and Landscape Architecture in Fengtai district. The exhibition continues until August 16, and is free for the public, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
There are 108 pieces on display, including Buddhist statues, Thang-ga paintings (Buddhist themed paintings on embroidered silk) and Buddhist scripture.
It is the first time for these treasured items to leave Tibet and meet viewers in Beijing. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
