It is always a mystery to the dog owners how the world looks like in their dogs' eyes. Sometimes the dogs get excited for no reason, indicating that they spot something you cannot see.
To solve the mystery, Nikon is working on the development a smart camera called Heartography.
This camera strapped to a dog's chest will analyze its heartbeat. Whenever the dog's heart rate goes above the threshold, indicating a spike in emotions, the shutter will be triggered.
The Heartography is not the first nor the only canine camera in the world. GoPro already sells the GoPro Fetch. There's also the Orvis Action Camera Dog Harness that works with both GoPros and Sony cameras.
Unfortunately, Nikon seems like to keep this camera a R&D project instead of a serious consumer product. Up till now, it doesn't look like the Heartography is coming to market.
