13 Chinese nationals and one Malaysian on the capsized Bolivian-registered sand carrier remain unaccounted for, said Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) in a news release on Thursday.
MPA said the vessel, Oceanline SC208, has been towed to sheltered waters in Malaysia on Thursday morning.
Vessels from MPA, the Republic of Singapore Navy and the Singapore Police Coast Guard are continuing the search and rescue operations in Singapore waters. Navigational broadcasts on the operations are ongoing.
MPA is also contacting transiting merchant vessels to keep a lookout for missing persons and to report any sightings to the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center in Singapore.
The Bolivian-registered sand carrier had capsized 7.5 nautical miles northeast of Pedra Branca in Singapore waters, according to MPA's statement on Wednesday. A Chinese national was reportedly rescued by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency.
