Yu Yuanhui, a member of the standing committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), has been removed from office following a graft investigation, CPC authorities announced on Friday.
The CPC Central Committee has decided to remove Yu from his post for suspected "severe disciplinary and law violation," said a statement released by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Yu, also Party secretary of Nanning, capital city of the region in south China, is being investigated, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced last Friday.
