Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift is scheduled to return to China on November 10 and 11 with her 1989 World Tour. Tickets for the concert set to be held in Shanghai will go on sale starting Tuesday at 2 p.m. online and via phone.
A seven-time Grammy winner, a recipient of AMA's Dick Clark Award for Excellence and one of eight candidates for Time magazine's 2014 Person of the Year, Taylor Swift has become one of the most recognized superstars in the world with her record sales of more than 40 million albums sold around the globe.
Her success continued when her new album 1989 released last year. Setting a new record by selling almost 1.3 million copies in the US during its first week, 1989 has made Taylor Swift the only artist to have three albums go platinum (2010's Speak Now, 2012's Red and 2014's 1989) in a single week.
To date, 1989 has sold almost eight million copies around the globe and becoming the highest selling album of 2014 and 2015 and hitting the top of the Billboard Top 200 charts and iTunes sales charts in 97 countries.
Singles from 1989 have also become favorites.
Two singles from the album reached No.1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart in 2014, while current single "Bad Blood" has topped out at No.1 for four consecutive weeks.
