Police in Guangdong Province, south China, on Thursday said they had used three drones to break up a mafia-like gang.
Sixty-seven members of the organized group were arrested and four guns seized in raids on Wednesday, the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau said on Thursday.
Police began to investigate the gang in Panyu District, Guangzhou, the provincial capital, after receiving information from residents in March.
The three leaders recruited unemployed young people to head extortion rackets, run gambling houses and organize drug abuse, according to police.
The drones took aerial photos of two dens where the gang operated.
Police also arrested 128 drug abuse suspects and seized over 300 grams of drugs during Wednesday's raids.
