In order to accommodate the large amount of tourists expected to book tickets to the Palace Museum during the summer holiday which kicks off July 6, museum officials have extended the hours people can reserve tickets online. Before, reservations for a next-day visit ended at 9 p.m., but now visitors can book tickets until midnight, according to the Beijing Daily.
To woo tourists, a favorable price policy will be launched for tour agencies. Agencies that book tickets online after July 6 will enjoy a 10 percent discount on adult tickets and tickets for the special exhibition pavilions.
