This summer promises to be both fun and enlightening for children in China. This year's China Children's Theater Festival has kicked off, gathering artists from all over the globe in dozens of different plays and activities for kids.
The theatre festival brings together artists from both home and abroad to Beijing and other major cities for 43 children theater works.
The festival kicks off with "East Sea Mermaid", a moving play about kindness, perseverance and hope.
And the fun doesn't stop when the curtain falls. The festival also invites children to wide range of activities like theater summer camps.
Meanwhile, the artists are criss-crossing the country to bring ideas to primary school teachers.
The China Children's Theater promises children a whole summer of fun... running till August 26th.
