Dancing grannies in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province are not only driving away potential buyers from an apartment complex with their nightly exercise, they're also driving down prices.
The price of apartments in five buildings in the city of Harbin reportedly plummeted to around 1,000 yuan ($161) per square meter due to the group's evening line dancing sessions.
A resident surnamed Wang said she still cannot find a buyer for her 110-square meter apartment, reduced from 1.32 million to 1.2 million yuan.
Wang said potential buyers are dissuaded by the raucous downstairs. "I didn't expect that house prices would fall because of their dancing," said Wang.
Property management has opened a 24-hour hotline for complaints.
