U.S. President Barack Obama said Tuesday that he and the American people are looking forward to Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to the United States in September.
The United States and China will engage in close consultation to make sure the visit is fruitful, Obama said in a telephone conversation with Xi.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama on Tuesday exchanged views via telephone on the recent nuclear agreement reached between Iran and world powers.
Xi said China would continue its constructive cooperation with all the parties involved, including the United States, so as to ensure the implementation of the nuclear deal and the UN Security Council resolution.
Obama, for his part, said that China had played an important role during the Iranian nuclear talks that resulted in a comprehensive agreement.
