Police arrested 16 suspected members of an armed drug ring and seized a homemade gun and over 100 bullets in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Friday.
The police also confiscated five vehicles, more than 800 kg of drugs including methamphetamine, ketamine and ecstasy, and more than 550,000 yuan(88,550 U.S. dollars) in cash in Lipu County, Guilin City, the regional public security department said.
A cooperative operation by police in neighboring Guangdong Province also saw arrests of another eight suspected members of the ring and the seizure of 4 kg of drugs and eight vehicles.
Drones were used by Guangxi police for the first time in the investigation of the case.
