A rail route damaged by heavy rain in Xi'an City, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, resumed operation on Tuesday, local authorities said.
The Yaocun to Lintong route on the railway linking northwest China's Lanzhou City, capital of Gansu Province, with Lianyungang City in east China's Jiangsu Province, was flooded Monday night.
Rain triggered flood in the province also caused seven deaths as of Tuesday morning.
Thirteen people were washed away from a riverside restaurant at Xiaoyuhe Village in Chang'an District of Xi'an, at around 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Four were rescued.
Two people are still missing.
