Gu Chunli, vice governor of northeast China's Jilin Province, has been removed from office following a graft investigation, authorities announced on Friday.
The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee has decided to remove Gu from his post for suspected "severe disciplinary and law violation," said a statement released by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Gu is being investigated, the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced last Saturday.
