A Guangdong Province kindergarten has been closed down by the authorities after footage of one of its teachers crushing a boy's private parts with her feet went viral.

The video shows a female teacher repeatedly stamping on a young boy's crotch as they both lie down. The boy cries and shouts loudly "let it go" but cannot move away. About 10 other children and teachers witnessed the incident.

The footage went viral after being posted to a local online forum on August 9.

The local education authority identified the female who abused the boy as a kindergarten teacher, surnamed Wang, who works in the Guangdong city of Shanwei and confirmed that the footage was shot on July 11, the Nandu Daily reported.

A representative of Dong Huan Kindergarten surnamed Zheng said that the boy in the video, Lili (pseudonym), ran around instead of having a nap after lunch and the teacher then reprimanded him by hitting the 6-year-old's genitals.

"It's only half joking," Zheng was quoted by Nandu Daily as saying.

The local education bureau said Friday that the teacher who shot the video surnamed Zhang resigned on July 27.

The kindergarten has been ordered to suspend its business.

The local police have summoned the people who were involved in the case.

Lili's uncle told the Nandu Daily that Lili's mother passed out when she saw the video, and the boy had been going to the kindergarten for several years and had never previously complained about abuse.
