Four Chinese nationals, including two from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, have been confirmed killed in a Bangkok explosion Monday night, the Chinese embassy in Thailand said on Tuesday.
More than 20 other Chinese were injured in the blast that rocked Erawan Shrine at Ratchaprasong intersection, a popular tourist destination in downtown Bangkok, at about 7 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), according to the embassy.
Thai police on Tuesday revised up the death toll in the blast to 20, including one Filipino, according to police spokesman Prawut Thawornsiri.
A total of 125 people were injured in the blast, Prawut added.
