A Chinese man who allegedly murdered nine people and injured four others was arrested on Monday night in Hunan Province.
The police said the suspect, surnamed Wang, hacked the victims to death on Saturday when they were taking afternoon nap.
The suspect's wife, who had lived separately from Wang for some time due to marital discord, was one of the killed.
The other victims were all her relatives.
Hunan police said it sent 400 officers to search for the suspect and arrested him in a village in Longshan County.
