Negotiators from the Chinese mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS) and Taiwan-based Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) on Monday held a preparatory consultation for their upcoming 11th round of talks.
ARATS Executive Vice President Zheng Lizhong and SEF Vice Chairperson Shih Hui-Fen co-chaired the consultation to make last-minute preparations for the new round of talks scheduled for Tuesday in the mainland city of Fuzhou.
The two sides checked the drafts for two agreements expected to be discussed during the talks -- one on cross-Strait cooperation of civil aviation flight safety and airworthiness, and another on cross-Strait taxation cooperation and avoidance of double taxation.
They agreed to submit the documents to ARATS and SEF leaders for discussion and signing.
They also exchanged views on measures to facilitate cross-Strait travels and issues regarding the next round of talks between the two organizations.
