Underage prisoners are among the biggest group to be granted special amnesty which as a part of the commemorations for the 70th anniversary of the end of the World War II, according to the Supreme People's Court on Monday.
Hu Weixin, deputy director of the research office, said at a meeting on Monday that among those who were granted amnesty, underage prisoners account for the largest group.
He said related departments should continue to help and care for these people after they are freed.
The decision was passed by NPC standing committee.
