Private vehicles are banned from the roads every other day according to their plate number, and many construction sites are shut down. The air quality has been excellent. Beijing's PM 2.5 reaches record low for 10 consecutive days, which is comparable with some developed countries in the world, such as London and Paris.
"We are so happy to see the blue sky everyday!" Alonso was impressed with Beijing's blue sky and was very satisfied with the air quality safeguard measures in Beijing. "Our staff inspected the statistics released by the air quality monitoring sites everyday and we found that the value of all pollutants are far below the standard."
