CMA enters a special working state for V-Day Commemoration

On the morning of September 3, the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggressions and the World Anti-Fascist War (hereinafter referred to as Commemoration) associated with the military parade will be held in Beijing's Tiananmen Square as are expected. To spare no efforts to support the Commemoration, CMA will be well-positioned to provide timely and precise weather forecasts and services throughout the exciting big event from August 31 to September 3.[Special coverage]

Zheng Guoguang, Administrator of CMA signed the starting command to urge to CMA as well as meteorological bureau of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi and so on will synchronously activate special work positions. Meteorological staffs are expected to be on duty around the clock to ensure that no emerging problem escapes observation and solution, thus leaving reliable and real-time monitoring, early warning and weather forecasts practices.

During the period of special working state, relevant departments will carry out 24-hour working system, establish special leading, meeting and information reporting system and other more detailed operating mechanism.

Deputy Administrator Jiao Meiyan requires to improve level of refined forecast and services, making full preparation for weather modification and enhancing cooperation with military and other departments.
