State Councilor meets foreign guests

State Councilor Guo Shengkun on Thursday met foreign guests from Jordan, Mauritania and Comoros in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, northwest China.

The three foreign guests, including Jordanian King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein, Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, Comoros Vice President Fouad Mohadji are attending the second China-Arab States Expo, a key platform to promote ties between China and Arab states, and the expo will run until Sunday.

When meeting with the foreign guests, Guo express his hope that China and Arab countries will work together to promote the "Belt and Road" initiative.

Guo said he hoped China and Arab countries will make full use of China-Arab States Expo to strengthen mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation.

Guo said China will implement the consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and Jordanian King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein, the two countries will integrate their strategies to realize mutual beneficial and win-win cooperation.

Guo said China and Mauritania have solid political trust and traditional friendship, the two countries will enhance pragmatic cooperation in various areas to promote bilateral tie to a new level.

The foreign guests expressed their hope that they are willing to advance cooperation in economy, trade, culture, technology, education and law enforcement with China, and they will also continue to play positive role in China-Arab States ties.
