The president of the Islamic Association of China said the association will stick to the direction of adapting Islam to Chinese society as the association held a banquet in Beijing to celebrate the Eid al-Adha on Wednesday.
Xilalunding Chen Guangyuan, president of the association, said the association will adhere to adapting Islam to the Chinese society, and will continue to make its own contributions to the nation's rejuvenation.
He was joined in the banquet by Vice-Premier Liu Yandong, and Sun Chunlan, head of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China as they congratulate Muslims across the country for Eid al-Adha, which marks the end of the annual Hajj to Mecca.
