Members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) should not cross "the bottom line" of disciplines during the Mid-Autumn Festival and the upcoming National Day holiday, the top anti-graft body said on Sunday.
Sending gifts to friends and relatives is a popular custom during Chinese holidays, such as the Mid-Autumn Day and the Spring Festival, which also lead to bribery and illicit power-for-money practices.
Such acts have drawn more rebuke from the public and the graft-busters since late 2012, when Chinese President Xi Jinping kicked off the massive anti-corruption campaign.
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC said CPC members should not receive mooncakes as gifts, and should resist eating and drinking at the expenses of the public money or junket travel.
Activities in private clubs or consume on other companies' expenses are also not allowed, it said.
"Party members should strictly follow relevant regulations and disciplines in order to have a healthy, relaxed and safe holiday," it said.
