The two-month-long exhibition for China's most renowned ancient scroll painting titled Along the River During Qingming Festival ended on October 11, and the public will not be able to see it again until 2020, the Beijing Daily reported.
During the last day of the exhibition, the national treasure attracted so many visitors that the queue lasted for as long as 13 hours. Many visitors even went to queue in front of the museum on the previous night.
According to Shan Jixiang, curator of the Palace Museum, every visitor who stood in line was able to see the painting.
