Local procurators in China's Zhejiang Province have issued an arrest warrant for Hong Hangyong, a former senior legislator in Hangzhou, capital city of the eastern province, said the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) on Tuesday.
Hong, who is a former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hangzhou Municipal People's Congress, is suspected of taking bribes, according to a SPP statement.
The statement did not provide more details but said investigation is still under way.
