A landslide on Wednesday cut off the major road into the Jiuzhaigou Valley, a World Heritage site famous for its colorful pools and snowy mountains, in west China's Sichuan Province, the local government said.
The landslide, which occurred at noon, remains a danger and has prevented workers from clearing the road and restoring the traffic. It remains to be seen when the traffic will be resumed.
No casualties have been reported.
The landslide on Wednesday is the second on the road since September 30. The first landslide closed the road for a week.
The road, the National Road 203, is the only route to natural tourism sites in Western Sichuan including Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong.
