Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Literature by a Chinese university in recognition of his contribution to promoting bilateral exchanges.
Hun Sen received the degree from Guangxi Minzu University at a ceremony in Beijing on Thursday.
He said the honorary doctorate degree is not only a recognition of his own efforts but also the efforts the Cambodian government and people made in achieving the regional stable development.
It is the first honorary doctorate degree that Guangxi Minzu University has bestowed on foreign leaders.
Guangxi Minzu University is a provincial-level university located in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, for ethnic minorities.
Hun Sen has been in China since Oct. 11 for a series of international conferences.
