A book has been released to help people understand Chinese President Xi Jinping's speech delivered at a symposium attended by artists last year.
The book, compiled by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, is divided into five topics highlighting new and important ideas in Xi's speech, in addition to including the full text, the Xuexi Publishing House said.
A circular from the department urged local authorities to organize learning sessions and seminars on the book.
Xi addressed authors, actors, script writers and dancers at a symposium in Beijing on Oct. 15 last year.
In the speech, Xi called on artists to create more works that are both artistically outstanding and morally inspiring to serve the people and socialism and to present socialist core values.
