Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, President of the ROK Lee Myung-bak and Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama agreed to form a permanent secretariat to be tasked with facilitating tripartite cooperation.
The three leaders also reached consensus on issues such as deepening mutual understanding and trust, and expanding cooperation in trade, investment, finance, environmental protection and circular economy.
They also exchanged views on the sinking of the South Korean corvette Cheonan in March.
The three nations promised to maintain communication to properly handle the incident in the interest of regional peace and stability.
