A senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official on Friday met with a visiting delegation of cadres of Chile's ruling coalition.
Liu Yunshan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, welcomed the delegation's visit on 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Chile ties.
He briefed the delegation on the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, a meeting held from Monday to Thursday adopting proposals for economic and social development over the next five years.
China is ready to cooperate more with Chile in accordance with the consensus reached by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chilean President Michelle Bachelet, Liu said.
He also expressed willingness to enhance cooperation with the political parties of Chile's ruling coalition.
The Chilean delegation congratulated the CPC on the success of its plenary meeting, saying the Chilean ruling coalition is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC.
The delegation comprised members of Chile's Communist Party, Party for Democracy and Radical Party.
