Senior Communist Party of China (CPC)leader Liu Yunshan urged officials to align their practices with proposals raised at the recently concluded Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
Liu, president of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at an opening ceremony at the school on Thursday.
He asked officials to practice the idea of innovation, coordination, green development, opening up and sharing, all of which were highlighted in the CPC Central Committee's Proposal on Formulating the Thirteenth Five-year Plan (2016-2020).
Also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Liu said the five ideas have profiled the kind of development that China needs and answered the question "how to develop".
He said they also highlighted problems in China's development and showed a people-first priority.
He asked officials to focus on addressing problems and promote the policy of a shared development so as to bring more tangible benefits to the people.
Liu urged officials to build their capacity in driving economic and social development and to take on the historic responsibility of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-around manner.
The Party School trains existing or potential CPC or government officials.
