The U.S. city of Beverly Hills will celebrate the forthcoming Chinese New Year, the Year of the Monkey, on Jan 31, with music, dance and acrobatics, according to the announcement made by the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau in Beijing on Nov 17.
Collaborating with the China International Culture Association for its fifth annual Chinese New Year celebration, the event will be held at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, featuring performances such as acrobatics, Chinese folk music and Peking Opera. A photo exhibition, titled World Photographers Focusing on Beijing, will be displayed during the event.
"We are honored to partner with the China International Culture Association again this year to showcase the country's cultural arts performances during our fifth annual Chinese New Year celebration in Beverly Hills," said Julie Wagner, CEO of the visitors bureau. "Last year's sold-out event was a great success."
