China Eastern Airlines began flights from Kunming of southwest China's Yunnan Province to Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City, Vietnam on Thursday.
The flight, served by a Boeing 737, took off at 4:15 p.m. from the Kunming Changshui International Airport and was scheduled to arrive in HCM City at 6:10 p.m. in local time.
It will be operated every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
This Monday, a new air route linking Kunming with Vietnam's Hanoi was launched by China Eastern Airlines. The flight will be operated every Monday and Friday.
Kunming is known as Spring City in China for its mild climate and green environment.
