A two-day art exhibition to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of China and Bangladesh diplomatic relations has concluded in the city of Mymensingh.
Organized by Bangladesh-China Friendship Center, scores of artworks of 16 Bangladeshi and Chinese artists were exhibited at the Zainul Abedin Sangra-hashala (art gallery and museum), located in the Mymensingh district town, some 122 km north of the capital Dhaka.
Of the total 16 artists, seven from from Bangladesh and nine from China joined the exhibition with their 31 artworks drew on different aspects of lives and nature in China.
The artworks have earned huge appreciation from visitors.
Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese embassy in Bangladesh Yang shichao inaugurated the exhibition in a ceremony on Wednesday.
President of Bangladesh-China Friendship Center Delwar Hossain, among others, were present in the ceremony.
Artist Shapla Singha of Bangladesh's Institute Fine Arts University of Khulna was given Chinese government scholarship for her excellent artworks.
China and Bangladesh officially established diplomatic relations on Oct. 4, 1975. Since then the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries have been growing soundly and smoothly.
Fruitful cooperation has been achieved in the fields of politics, economy, military and culture. Both countries share basically identical opinions on most international and regional issues and conduct close coordination with each other in the international arena.
There have been frequent exchange of high-level visits, increased contacts and expanded cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
