Chang Xiaobing, former chairman of China Unicom and current chair of China Telecom, is being investigated for suspected for "severe disciplinary violations," the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced Sunday.
Born in 1957, Chang was Party chief at China Unicom before assuming his post at China Telecom in August this year.
China Unicom and China Telecom are two of China's top three telecom service providers.
